Do you need to have a France Visa?
France welcomes people to visit their place and at times needs other nationals to avail or apply for a France Visa before they can come, but sometimes there’s no need for it. This condition depends on:
Your nationality
Whether you a holding a residence permit in France or other country that is part of the Schengen Agreement
The length of stay you intend
Where specifically in France do you want to stay for the time being
There are countries that are considered to be part of its European territory and these are as follows: Czech Republic, Finland, Denmark, Germany, Austria, Iceland, Lithuania, Estonia, Luxembourg, Malta, Greece and more.
Citizens from the following countries do not need to present a France Visa :
1.Countries that are members of the Schengen: Austria, Argentina, Andorra, Brunei, Brazil, Chile, Canada, Croatia, Costa Rica, Guatemala, El Salvador, Hondura, Holy See, Japan, Israel, Malaysia, Monaco, Mexico, New Zealand, Panama, Nicaragua, Paraguay, San Marino, South Korea, United States, Uruguay…more and those that are members of the European Union as well as European Economic Area
2.Those holders of passports that have been issued by the Special Administrative Region of Macao of the People’s Republic of China and those by Hong Kong Special Administrative Region
3.Those holding a residence permit in France or even those who have travel document or residence permit from the countries listed as members of Schengen
However, those that are not required to have a France Visa still needs some requirements and these are as such:
Declaration of the number of days of stay and must understand that they are only allowed to stay for a duration of 90 days
Valid reasons for their visit
A France Visa is required if you are planning to stay for more than 90 days
Thus, if you plan to stay for more than 90 days, then you’ll surely need to apply for a French Visa specially if you aren’t a member or is not part of those countries listed above. Here are your requirements then:
1. Present a valid passport. The passport must not be expiring for your full travel, particularly within 3 months or more.
2.Two passport sized photos taken recently. When we say “recent”, it means that the photo has to be taken within the month you are applying for the visa.
3.Application form with your signature Dependents are required to have their parent’s signature. No erasures are allowed.
4.Full application fee payment
